Northeast factsBrazilian Northeast PopulationHistorically, the region has had a high rate of emigration due to the lack of infrastructure and development projects that include the most popular classes. Seasonal droughts and the large concentration of land worsen the situation.
The region covers an area of 1,554,257 km2 and is home to around 53,081,950 inhabitants, making it the second most populous region in Brazilian territory. The northeastern population is ethnically composed of 62.5% mixed race, 29.2% white, 7.8% black, and 0.5% indigenous. |

As Jacob’s Well Missions strives to achieve its goal of holistic community transformation, our annual budget allocation of $450.00 per household is meticulously planned to cover critical aspects of our comprehensive Spirit, Economic, and Social community development program. A balanced approach is essential to foster real and lasting change. Here is a breakdown of how the $450.00 annual cost is allocated to address various needs and empower each household within our community.

1. Spiritual Development - $200.00 (45%)
Faith-Based Programs: $100.00 Investment in Bible studies, prayer groups, and local church community gatherings to foster spiritual growth and morale. Leadership Training: $50.00 Development of local spiritual leaders through workshops and training programs to build a strong, spiritually guided community. Resource Materials: $50.00 Provision of Bibles, devotionals, and other reading materials for personal and family biblical study. |
2. Economic Empowerment - $150.00 (33%)
Agriculture Micro-enterprise training and education: $100.00 Courses, practical training for sustainable agriculture techniques, entrepreneurship training, and semi-arid agriculture technology training and implementation. Financial Education: $50.00 Financial literacy programs to inspire and support household businesses and individual entrepreneurship. |
3. Social Development - $100.00 (22%)
ICT program (Integral Community Transformation): $70.00 Health Prevention and Wellness Programs, health and Sanitation education workshops, community outreach programs, and activities that foster unity, support networks, and community identity. Educational Support: $30.00 Providing school supplies and supporting educational initiatives for illiterate adults. |
